Park City Publishing’s From the Restaurants of Park City – A Mountain Town’s Cookbook features local favorite Silver Star Cafe. Founded in 2010 by longtime Park City locals, Silver Star Cafe is a hidden gem of Park City. The Cafe has an immediate community feel, as this hidden gem sits at the base of the Silver Star chairlift at Park City Mountain Resort and lies beside the Spiro and Armstrong trailheads. With beautiful views, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere, Silver Star Cafe is perfect for any meal of the day.

The beautiful outdoor deck is the perfect place to brunch with family and friends in the warm summer months. One side of the deck overlooks the Park City Golf Club, while the other side has a great view of the mountain and of the Silver Star ski lift. You’re guaranteed a fantastic view no matter where you sit on the deck or which way you are facing while you enjoy your meal.

The delicious food at the cafe is the creation of chef Dan Sweisford. From brunch food like spicy Huevos Ranchero and hearty dinners like Pork Osso Bucco (page 145), any meal you have at Silver Star Cafe is sure to please. Their friendly staff is accommodating and efficient, and the views from the deck provide an ambiance that is perfect for a family celebration or a huge post-hike lunch.
